To add some properties to document

Dear All,
i have a question. I would like to add some properties to document, uploaded in Alfresco.
For example: i have the document "Report.tiff" and i would like to add two parameters for search of this document: "Code" and "Name".  Is it possible?
And how i can do it?

Hello,

Yes it's possible but to do that, you have to create your own specific content model (XML files).

Well, i had tried to do it using the article. But i hadn't seen the new properties.
I had uploaded file, named "content-article.pdf" and had chosen the type "Someco Document".

Next, at properties page i haven't seen the new properties.

Where is my mistake? I had used a config files, which were attached to the article.
