Solr 4.2 on alfresco 4.1.4

Hi Friends,

How can I integrate solr 4.2 with my alfresco 4.1.4 (enterprise) ??
Currently alfresco uses solr 1.4 version and I want to integrate 4.2 solr version. What changes we have to make in order to achieve this?
What configuration/changes needed?

There are huge changes required.   For a start SOLRs public API changed.    I suggest you wait to upgrade to Enterprise 5.0.

We tried checking differences but there are lots of dependency and hard to resolve those.
Are we sure we have latest solr in enterprise 5 ? Because community 5a version uses same apache-solr-1.4.1.war not new.

Because for current version 1.4.1 of solr we are facing lots of solr related issues.

Anybody know when should we expect solr 4.x with alfresco ? I tried exploring community 5.a, it still using solr 1.4 version.
I compared solr core 1.4 and 4.2 jars and there are lots of differences.

Soon.  Sorry can't say more than that.   However if you look on HEAD tomorrow you should see solr4 stuff.   Its not fully wired up yet but there are signs of life.
