Site publish content

Hello,
we are thinking of using Alfresco Share to manage project related content (one site per project) but we would like to make available some documents, wiki pages, posts to the clients of the projects. A "publish this" pattern would fit very well here but, by now, the only solution we see is to have two sites per project. One private, only for the team project eyes, and one public, for the client.

Have anyone tried to do this? Could this be achieved with some webscripts customization (to "publish" content)?

Thanks,

Hi there,

I'm very interested in your proposal. I'm looking at doing something very similar.

Have you had any progress to date?

Cheers,

Hi eli,

Sorry to say I had temporarily discontinued the research on this. By now we have decided to use the public/private site aproach and publish documents by copying them to the 'public' site document library folders (mixing by hand and some rules applied to the spaces in alfresco). They weren't so many.

When I have enough time again I'd try to see whether I can create some 'action' to 'publish' (copy content to another site) and then add a custom control to the site view to invoke this action. Or maybe Alfresco guys implement this Smiley Happy
