I know there are a few posts here on topic "replacing sharepoint" - i am a sharepoint admin and interested in doing just that. 2 things i could not find so far answered (maybe i just didn't find it.

1) First thing I did was check out the alfresco website. As i am looking for a solution to replace sharepoint - i need forums and wikis. i heard that alfresco can do both. qustion is (this is not critical at all, its just totally hontest) -> why does alfresco.com use phpbb as forum (board) software and wikipedia software for wiki?
2) is there an update somewhere on list functionality? i've read here in the forum that it was on the roadmap in 2010 - is it working yet? where can i see description / maybe test it?
hoping to get some answers, as i am keen on checking this out - i hope it works

It's just history.  Those sites are from the early days of Alfresco and have not yet been migrated.   The newer sites such as Alfresco Network and the Partners website do use Alfresco.    And alfresco.com itself is managed by Alfresco WCM.

Yes "lists" are supported.
