Hello All, I am working on testing Alfresco enterprise 3.4.0 and we have moved to the next stage after initial testing meaning we are now letting some of our power users hammer on it for some time before we decide to ultimately purchase it. I have it implemented to a degree, however, I am having all sorts of issues with webdav as well as spp support. In regards to both of these, they are incredibly slow, granted they work after making the changes in microsoft explorer and to the registry key, however they are so slow, to the point that it is almost useless.
The other issue is more with SPP in that how do we open documents in spaces. I.E. we have a space off of the root called intranet (I know, original isn't it?) and several departments underneath it. I have changed permissions so that the everyone group is no longer applicable, i.e. if you do not have permissions, you are not going to see anything that you are not supposed to. I would think that we would be able to to easily access the spaces that you have permissions through in the SPP. I.E. go into Word 2007 open and type the url http://ip.of.server:7070/alfresco/ but all that comes up are your document workspaces you created when you go into word -> publish -> create document workspace. I have tested with the Admin user to make sure it was not something to do with my changes to the permissions, however I see the same thing.
Is there anyway to do this? Please tell me it's easier than I am making it as I have scoured books and google looking for information in regards to this but have not found anything. Thank you for your help!
EDIT: I should also mention that we are using for the most part Windows 7 x32 and x64 as well as office 2007. I should also mention we tried the client, and it did work in regards to searching through spaces and the such, however it caused lots of crashing as well as seemed kind of flakey.
So a user is only seeing, what he himself has created, but not, what others with the same permissions have created. Does this apply, when these users log into Alfresco's Webclient or is it Sharepoint specific? Is the user, who creates a space noted as its owner in the space's details?
