Share - Deploy multiple sites

Hi guys;
This is just a check.

I want to deploy multiple sites through Alfresco share.  These sites will have their own template ('User Page'), sharing a similar layout.
I have looked at presets and this seems to be the best way - Is this correct?

If this is correct, I would also like the content of each site to be unique.  Meaning either have a folder where the user would upload thier html file to fill the content. OR simply deploy a jar that would fill in the content section.

Does this all sound 'smart'?

Is there a better way?

Thanks in advance for any and all help.  Every reply is appreciated.

Hi,
Yes, defiantly template is the best way to give the various looks to same content.
By which we can share the same content across the sites.
But I did not get creating content by jar.?? :?:

Hi Drozes,

Are you talking about having a "unique site per user" OR about having "different types of sites"?
I assume it is the later, if so shall it be possible to have "many instances of a site type" OR shall there only be "1 site per type"?

Regarding filling the content of a site. If I have understood your requirement correctly, I think you should look at ACPs. They work (more or less) like a zip folder with data and an xml file describing how to import it into the repository. Please read this wiki page for more info:
http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/ACP

If you take a look at  the following webscript you can see how you can import the data in runtime from a webscript:
http://svn.alfresco.com/repos/alfresco-open-mirror/modules/recordsmanagement/HEAD/rm-server/source/j...

Cheers, Erik
