Hello -

Hopefully this is the correct place for this post.

Before I install the community version of Alfresco, what are the server and/or workstation requirements for the on-site version of the software?

Are there any installations running on Mandriva Linux and are there any known issues with an install on Mandriva?

Thank you -

Hi

I think instalaltion of alfresco community edition in mandriva linux may be almost same as the installation in linux.
You can  follow the installation procedures.
Basically it needs database mysql/postgres sql
environment variable like JAVA_HOME and JRE_HOME must be set in bash_profile.
The installation also requires open office .
Please follow the link to know the issues
http://forums.alfresco.com/en/viewtopic.php?t=7
Hope this will help you.
Thanks in advance,

The server I have set up for this is an old Dell GX-150 with 512 MB RAM.

I'm sure it will be slow until we get a new server - but will it run?

All of our workstations are also GX-150's - will they work okay as clients?

Hi
sorry for late reply.
512 MB RAM is not enough to run alfresco.
so increase your RAM size more than 1 GB .
i think it will support your configuration.
