Searching over JSON file content

How does one go about searching or indexing JSON content for search in Alfresco share?

One doesn't.   

You can probably do some sort of text search but its not ideal.

There used to be discussions about whether to add an XML database for XML Indexing to Alfresco.   The JSON debate is similar.   Currently there's no special handling for JSON.
