Reverting from enterprise to community

We are considering using Alfresco to create a collaboration site for a project funded by the World bank. One of the requirements of the project is that once development is complete, the application must be maintained and managed by the end users without any software or license restrictions/payments. Can we do the following?:

1) Develop and run the application using the enterprise license for 1 or more years. This allows us to take advantage of Alfresco support and bug fixes.
2) When our users have been trained and are able to manage the application themselves, revert to the community license so that the users do not need to pay license fees.

You will need to migrate to the community edition, you can't apply a "community license" there's no such thing.

Also please note that Enterprise version numbers are is in advance of Community so you would need to upgrade to the next community version.    

You may be able to downgrade,   however that is never supported or tested and would probably require some analysis and effort on your part.
