I was browsing the Metadata settings for the Web Quick Start project and would appreciate it if you could shed some light on them.
The sub folders and modules are also very interesting.  I'm interested in replicating these to create a new project.

I suggest that you take a look at the Web Quick Start pages on the wiki to start with, but if you have further questions having read them then don't hesitate to ask them here.

I read the documentation and went through the pain of installing  STS 2.5.1 and Roo 1.1.0.
I ended up using STS 2.3.2 and Roo 1.0.2, only to find that the Spring Surf Dev tools aren't available.
Can you suggest a complete set of instructions for a that actually work to build a sample site?
