Hi all,
When attempting to edit any files via CIFS, WebDAV, or FTP, the file is first saved to a local disk. Then when I try to over-write the previous file, it is now "read-only" and I cannot update the file.
Is there no way to get CIFS working like a normal shared drive, where the file gets locked for editing and I can read/write directly to that file?
Thanks,
Nikhil Somaru

Hi Amita,
In CIFS, the user attempting to edit is the manager of the site concerned.
Thanks,
Nikhil
