Questions and doubts installation Community 3.4d on Windows

Hello,

I've just installed french version of alfresco-community-3.4.d-installer-win-x32.exe. It works quite well.

I've some doubts about some points :
1) The menuItem "Démarrer le service Alfresco Community" (~~ starts Alfresco Community service) runs following code :

C:\Alfresco\servicerun.bat STOP‍

I don't understand why.

2) I have only 2 services launched (alfrescoMySQL and alfrescoTomcat). No started service for openoffice.

I looked for and here is what I found :
The file C:\Alfresco\servicerun.bat runs following code :

if exist C:\Alfresco\openoffice\scripts\servicerun.bat (start /MIN C:\Alfresco\openoffice\scripts\servicerun.bat START)
…
if exist C:\Alfresco\openoffice\scripts\servicerun.bat (start /MIN C:\Alfresco\openoffice\scripts\servicerun.bat STOP)‍‍‍

but directory C:\Alfresco\openoffice\scripts contains a file named openoffice_servicerun.bat but no file named servicerun.bat

Can you inestigate these points ?

Same goes for Alfresco Community 3.4d for 64bit Windows.

I've tried renaming openoffice_serviceinstall.bat to serviceinstall.bat and starting installation script again, but nothing happens. Is there a solution?  :?:

I'm having the same issue here myself, can't figure it out.

Just wanted to make note that it doesn't seem to be an issue isolated to just 1 or 2 users.

I'm working with a fresh installation (never been installed on this system before) - Win Vista 64.

I got an error complaining no transformation exists between mimetypes ….. blah blah …., I think it has to do with OO is NOT installed as service and service is not available. But when i try to 'Run Action', transform, i am able to transform a MS word document to PDF. Could anyone please help me understand why it works? Is OO get executed 'on-demand'?

Just wondering …
