Hi there, this is my first post in this forum :-)… nice to meet you.

So here is my first question:
i'm running linux with tomcat 5.5.20. now i'm deployin alfresco.war to the tomcat server. Everything works find, but if i shutdown and start tomcat server again, alfresco is being depolyed every startup again, so it takes a lot of time…….
is this normal?

thanks a lot.

Hello!

That doesn't sound right - not sure why it's doing that. Once the server has started, try deleting the alfresco.war file from the deploy folder - there should be a folder in there called 'alfresco' which is the exploded contents of the WAR.

Thanks,

Kevin

I think auto-deploy is currently default on (at least with the Alfresco 2.0 bundled Tomcat server), if you remove the war file, the application will be undeployed. So no good I think Smiley Happy.

Yes, to avoid deployment every time, start tomcat for the first time, then stop it (make sure java process exited), and then move war file out of webapps folder.

Next time it will not be deployed again.

If you do same with working tomcat, alfresco app will be deleted (as mentioned above).
