Hi,

I installed the Alfresco community version alfresco 5.0.d on a CentOS 6.6 system according to http://docs.alfresco.com/community/tasks/simpleinstall-community-lin-text.html. But if I now try to access alfresco from my windows-pc using http://:8080/share or only http://:8080 I just got unable to connect. I also tried to restart alfresco with ./alfresco.sh stop and ./alfresco.sh start but still not working. On the same linux server moodle, joomla and wordpress are running for test purposes. They are all accessable and running without problems. Is Apache Webserver running in parallel a problem? But I tried to stop Apache and restart Alfresco but still the problem. I also made sure that the firewall of the company opened port 8080. Any other ports that have to be open? Then I discovered in alfresco.log many error messages/exceptions that I cannot interprete. See the attached log-file.

Thanks in advance for help!

Can you post the content of your /etc/hosts file?

Thanks for reply. Here comes the /etc/hosts file; (I only renamed it to hosts.log to make it uploadable)

I became this warning while installing, but it shouldn`t cause a completey not working ("will not prevent Alfresco from functioning")

This environment is not configured optimally for Alfresco - please carefully
review this list before continuing.

While these issues will not prevent Alfresco from functioning, some product
features may be unavailable, or the system may not perform optimally.

ok I increased the RAM of the VM to 8GB but still the errors in alfresco.log
Can anybody help me to get alfresco running?

your problem is with networking your VM can't access its own name.   Adding Ram is useful but fix your network first.

thanks a lot, I added the hostname to /etc/hosts file and now there are no error messages in alfresco.log after restarting Alfresco.
But if I want to call the site with http://IP-Adress:8080/share I still got "unable to connect"

There seems to be listening at port 8080:
netstat -an | grep 8080 | grep -i listen
tcp        0      0 :::8080                     :::*                        LISTEN

But I`m not sure if the firewall of the company blocks the port.
Here the output of iptables:
iptables -L
Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target     prot opt source               destination

ACCEPT     icmp –  anywhere             anywhere

NMap also say 8080 is open:

Anybody can help here?
The firewall seems not to be the problem. I installed now in parallel a Windows installation of Alfresco 5.0d on my PC and I can access This Alfresco from every computer within the company. So I don`t know why in cannot access the Alfresco 5.0d installed on the Centos-VM. On this Centos-VM I have also running Joomla and WordPress and they are accessible without problems.
Thanks for any help
