No Deploy Action in web project

I have recently configured 2 machines with Alfresco Labs 3 Final.  One is my development machine, the other my production machine.  I have a web project in the dev machine as well as documents in the non-web projects area that I access via web scripts.  I have set up an ASR to deploy my web project from the dev box to the production box.  This works fine.  I would then like to deploy from the production box to the production box using a FSR to dump the files into a tomcat webapp.  I have set up the FSR package and configured the FSR in the web project.  It works fine on the dev box but on the production box I have no "deploy action" in the staging sandbox for any of my snapshots.  What's going on?   Why don't I have a deploy action?  Thanks.

I don't know if this is the same problem but I just installed (according to download link a 3.1 Final), created one web project, submitted some files and configured local ASR and FSR with all default options. The problem here also is that there are no Deploy actions or icons? I also changed the host on ASR to something else than localhost but no change.

So basically, what conditions must be met in order for the deploy actions to be visible/enabled??

Also, when you mccarthymp said  "set up an ASR" what all did that contain - dropped Alfresco war into servlet container…or?

I don't have the answer to "what conditions must be met in order for the deploy actions to be visible/enabled??"

I "set up an ASR" by editing the configuration of my web project and adding an ASR target.  I used localhost for my hostname, /ROOT for my sourcepath, type was Live Server and used the same target name as my web project.  This is actually for an FSR although I have tried with an ASR and still no icons to deploy.

The conditions should be
a) That there's at least one live deployment receiver defined,
b) There's a snapshot.
c) You have manager access to the web project.

I fixed a problem fairly recently with regard to the deploy option not being shown after renaming the web project.     Have you renamed your web project by any chance?

As a matter a fact, I think I renamed my web project. I'll try with new project.

btw. why would you need to have live receiver defined if you are just starting up - at least it's very difficult to guess to be the reason for missing icon/action.

Yes, new project without renaming and I could see the deployment icon. Deployed into local live ASR, now I just need to figure how to work with it but that's another story. Thanks!

I think I may have renamed my web project as well.  I'll try and test it later with a new project and post the results.  Otherwise, I met the 3 conditions you listed.
