New alfresco ios app + CE 4.x

Hi all

My alfresco app updated automatically. I am running the latest version of Alfresco CE.

I can log in and browse sites and documents, but an error screen pops up stating cannot access comments make sure you have access rights. In turn when I try and forward a document via email it doesn't add the attachment to the email. Although it doesn't happen with every file type. In general if I email a excel document it attaches to the email body but if I email a PDF it won't attach to the email.

I can view the document within alfresco mobile and can also open in iBooks etc.

Hope somebody can help

You may need to upgrade to Community 4.2.f. I have a feeling the iOS app is using the Public API as it detects your version of Alfresco supports it, but in fact the 4.2.e version of Alfresco only has partial support. Sorry, I don't have 4.2.e installed anywhere useful right now to test that theory.

Hi

I have now run up a Alfresco 5 CE Windows Edition X64 - Connected via the mobile app.
There is now no errors messages about comments etc.

When i send a XLS or Visio Drawing as email attachment the attachment is attached. Even unknown Alfresco document types can be attached to the email. 

It seems only PDF documents fail to attach - Plot thickens any thoughts people???

I can see a problem around attaching some filetypes, including PDFs. I've raised https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/MOBILE-2943 to track. Note, I've marked this as to be fixed in 2.0.2, but there's no date for that release yet.
