My Tasks - using Alfresco Community

Hello!
I apologize if I'm posting this on a wrong board but can anyone tell me how to make or edit tasks in Alfresco Community 2.1?
I looked around but haven't found 'New task' or something like that, only scripts for listing active or 'to-do' tasks. Is there 'New task option in Community edition or those listings are just leftovers from Enterprise edition?

They are assigned as part of a work flow. There is no UI to arbitrarily create tasks. What functionality are you trying to achieve?

I thought that they could be added like a TO-DO reminder. Didn't thought of them like u said. My mistake So, they are strictly tasks that are in process or finished by a workflow assigned by content rules?

Hi,

I have the same need. A tasks management system to let certain users assign tasks to others users that will appear in their homepage.

The link you provided seems interesting, but none of the attachments files are accessible… How to install this add-on ?

I found a solution. Logged as admin, click the arrow on any document and choose "Start advanced workflow". Choose "Adhock task" and click "Next". Enter a description for the task, choose a user to assign the task to and delete the document on which you clicked before (in "Resources"). And you have a task, linked with no document, assigned to a user.
