Message Event support in Designer

The user guide indicates Message Events are supported but I don't see them in the palette.  Is there (end user) way to add them?

Message events are not yet supported in the Designer.
In the next version I think we'll be able to add it.

It's the 5.9.2 version.  I pulled the code from svn and built the update site locally while the team worked out the distribution issues.

There's a more general issue at hand - at least from my point of view.

Is it not a basic premise that a business process modeler can use the Signavio modeler and round-trip those with a developer using the Eclipse modeler?

If so - the Eclipse editor should know how to ignore constructs is doesn't understand (or maybe represent them in some generic way).

I acknowledge the technical challenge this might present.

Am I looking at this wrong?

I meant the 5.9.3 release of the Designer for the message event support.
Full roundtrip is not something we support yet. I agree that this would be great to have.
But as you say, it's a bit challenging to implement this so please create a JIRA for this with a detailed explanation of the functionality you are looking for.
Then this can work can be started in one of the next releases.
