Trying to figure out how to use groups in Alfresco.
Here is my setup:
- Alfresco 3.0D on Windows 2008 (32bit)
- SQL Server 2000
- Authentication through Kerberos
I've been successful in setting up 'Active Directory - Kerberos' to authenticate users. The users exist in the AD and can login.*
I've setup LDAP sync to bring in the user groups so that I can apply them to spaces. Sync is working, as I can see them in Alfresco Explorer. I've applied them to specific spaces, but they don't appear to be working.
For example, I setup one group to be editors of a space and restricted everyone else so they can't access that space. Now, no can access the space. Adding the users to the space individually works.
So my question is, what am I missing? I want to be able to apply permissions through groups to spaces while using my AD.
* Having issues with Kerberos in so much as users not being able to consistently log in. Will start another thread for that.
