Mail task problem

Hi everybody. i'm new to Activiti world. i don't even know if my post must be here or elsewhere..

Anyway, i've just installed the 5.8 release and Activiti designer plugin in Eclipse. I created a mail task contained workflow xml file. I deployed it in Activiti Explorer. I've configured the activiti.cfg.xml file by adding mail parameters,  but i always get an "mail coudn't be sent" exception.. any help please?

Did you use the 'mailServerUseSSL' setting in your process engine configuration?

hello friends
I want to send email with activiti & I have read the manual completely but when the process gets to mail task It can't send email
which file should be configured exactly ?
activiti.cfg.xml or engine.properties?
please help me (((
