One of my colleagues wanted to print an Excel-file and opened it from Alfresco Cloud with the 'Edit in MS Office' button. After printing it, she closed Excel and her browser and after she went home I found out that the file was locked and I was unable to update it.
As an administrator, I thought it would be easy to overrule the locked status, but that does not appear to be the case in Alfresco. There is no 'overrule' button anywhere and no clear instructions in the support pages.
After some trial and error, I was able to select the file in the folder view and 'Cancel editing'. The lock next to the file name disappeared, however, upon reopening the file in Excel, I got a pop-up saying that the file could not be opened because it was being edited. All I could do is open a working copy.
Does anyone know how I can overrule the locked status?
