Limit version history

Is it possible to limit the number of history versions for a document?

Hello,

there is no out-of-the-box functionality for this since the basic rule for versioning is that "every version counts" and older versions should only be deleted based on specific business / customer needs and considerations. It is very simple though to add such a feature in by developing a behavior on the VersionServicePolicies.

Thanks for your comments. Unfortunately I am not a programmer, but I did find this amp: https://github.com/jottley/alfresco-maxversion-policy

It was quite easy for me to install that amp and now I have version policy on my nodes.
