Is Multi file upload possible with IE8 and Alfresco 4.2

Is Multiple file upload possible with IE8 and Alfresco 4.2 ?

This sounds like a basic question but I've looked around for a long time with no luck.

I had thought I'd read in the release notes for 4.2 that multiple files could be uploaded at one time without Flash.

But with IE8 I can only upload one file at a time. Is it possible to upload multiple files at a time with IE8 and 4.2 ?
