Hi everyone,
I have been asked by my employer to check whether Alfresco, mainly 4.0e which we use, is Web Accessibility Initiative compliant (W3C WCAG 2.0 standard). If it is can some one tell me which rating it has - A, AA, AAA or NONE?
I can't find any explicit answer. The only details I found were in this forum back in 2006/2008. but again nothing concrete and certainly not up to date.
I hope someone can help me, and I thank you in advance.
Best regards
Oliver

Almost certainly not. And you would need to work out whether you are talking about Alfresco Share, Alfresco Explorer, the Mobile Apps or the repository itself.
Certainly some of the many thousands of apps built on alfresco will be WCAG compliant.
However there has been a lot of effort put into accessibility over the last few releases and its an ongoing priority. Whether the ultimate goal is WCAG or another standard I'm not sure.

Hi mrogers,
Thanks for the reply.
I will do a manual check and see whether Alfresco passes or fails in areas.
I'm surprised Alfresco HQ has not taken the time to put compliance of this standard in place, or at the very least tested for compliance so end users, like my employer, can know the rating achieved (A, AA, AAA or NONE).
Anyway thanks again.
