Hello,
I want to use Alfresco as CMS in Liferay.
I don't want the whole Alfresco as portlet.

How can replace Liferay CMS with Alfresco CMS?
OR
Can a create a custom portlet in Liferay to use Alfresco as CMS?

Hello everybody,
according to the liferay community, there are two ways now to achive that. See this discussion for more

If you try it, please give feedback if it works and maybe even update the wiki Smiley Happy

Hello Norgan,
I am able to add Alfresco as a portlet in Liferay. That take the whole Alfresco as a portlet.

What I want is to use Liferay as a Portal and Alfresco as a CMS.
I don't want to use Liferay's CMS.

I can do it by using RESTful APIs, but is their any other solution readily available.

hi guys!

I have been looking for a way to enforce double log in, meaning that the user does not have to login to liferay first and then to alfresco. But would just login to liferay and automatically get logged in to alfresco.

Please, help me!

Hi bokeshka,

You need to use SSO to achieve this task…

Hmm … could you post which softwarestack you are using exactly ?

And does SSO work with you ?

I didn't  do it myself, but gone through some links of Cignex of full integration of Alfresco + Liferay with SSO.

I don't know whether this will help you or not….
But please go through, it may help you
