SLES11 SP2, installing community 4.2.0c on a production server after eval'ing same version on non-production server. I ran the wizard and selected custom install to configure for existing mysql DB. We receive a problem running post-install script.
Problem running post-install step. Installation may not complete correctly

RALUS is the Remote Agent Linux and Unix Servers (Backupexec) backup agent. VRTSralus is the start/stop script for RALUS. This server already has apache2 installed. Is there a fix for these issues?

This appears to be related to the service/runlevel. When i chkconfig alfresco on, i also get the same errors as above.
Can anyone offer any help with this issue?

You have 2 options
One to stop the service which conflits
or
two:- run alfresco in different ports

I don't think the error is related to a port conflict. It describes a run-level dependency loop.

I posted to the mailing list my suggestion that you don't use the init script, but instead start Alfresco manually:
