HOW TO:Hide Component At Welcome Page

Hi everyone!

I'm here again to look for your excellent Answers of my new problems.

Since I have hidden "Sites" and "Tasks" menus on the top of the welcome page by your instructions.

Now I encountered a  new serious problem!

It is:Although I have hidden "Sites" and "Tasks" these two menus for User But At the middle of that welcome page the two parts just stand there!(screenshot uploaded below!)

How can I remove or disable or hide those two parts for every User?

Based on the screenshot provided I guess you want to remove those two dashlets on the left hand side. For all new site members you can modify the Site Preset to show only the dashlet you want (see http://docs.alfresco.com/5.0/concepts/dev-extensions-share-site-presets.html). For existing site members, you can write something in javascript to remove the component files. For example for the Sample: Website Design Project site, you need to remove page.component-1-1.site~swsdp~dashboard.xml and page.component-1-2.site~swsdp~dashboard.xml. Those files are located under  /app:company_home/st:sites/cm:swsdp/cm:surf-config/cm:components
