How to encode '.' in ISO9075

Hello there,
how do i encode "." in iso9075. i can not find any overview table or something like that.
i know that
  _x0020_ = " "
  _x002c_ = ","

in fact that i have folders in alfreso like "01.01.2010" i guess i need to encode the "." when using path queries to find documents…

otherwise i get "error exceuting xpath….."

/app:company_home/app:user_homes/cm:User/cm:01.01.2010

org.alfresco.util.ISO9075 has an "encode" method.

and the value of ' .' is _x002e_ should you need to use it long-hand.
