I have insalled Alfresco 2.1 and its working fine for almost one year. I did a fresh installation of Alfresco 3.2 and wish to copy my entire database and its contents from 2.1 to Alfresco 3.2. I dont think simply copying the database from 2.1 to 3.2 will meet this requirement. When i tried, i got an error – on table alfresco.alf-node.
Can anyone help me out how to migrate the database from 2.1 to 3.2 version.
Alfresco will/should automatically update your database after updating the version of Alfresco.
Why are you trying to copy a database? Normally to upgrade alfresco you would backup the database and content store (just incase something goes wrong) upgrade alfresco and start it up. It's probably a good idea to restore your backup to a test server and test the upgrade on your test server first.
Hi there, one way : export/import of the complete data (wont take the users though 😞 2nd : bootstrap import (see wiki) 3rd : turn on "autoschema update" in alfresco-global.properties, erase new DB & datadirt and cpy old datadir & database. remove lucene index dir and start Alfresco 4th : Export with talend, import again
I did the following. 1. Copied the database and alf_data from 2.1 version and turned on the autoschema update 2. Replaced the database and alf_data taken from 2.1 to 3.2 Version 3. Removed the lucene index dir from 3.2 4. Restarted alfresco and apache.
I am not getting the alfresco home page - getting an error like HTTP Status 404 - Resource not found.
