How extract specific content from a odt document?

Hi
I'm newbie of Alfresco and Java.
I have a space in Alfresco where I have many .odt document  with the same model . Now I have the need to extract items (an image, a date,a text  that is inside the document) from the content of these documents.
My question is if exists an extractor to do this operation where I find examples of extractors which do similar operations.

Alfresco can & does extract various data from ODT documents, including metadata and content.
But I'm not sure what you want to do with your extracted items.

Maybe start by having a look at the wiki to see what's possible: http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Metadata_Extraction Alfresco comes with built-in extractors, but it isn't too difficult to write your own and add it to your Alfresco install.

Or reply and give a little more information on what you'd like to achieve.
