how can you tell who has document checked out?

Hello everyone,

If a document is currently checked out by someone… how can you tell who has it checked out?
Versioning only tells you who edited the document last.

In alfresco explorer you hover with the mouse over the key-lock icon and it tels you in a tooltip who has checked out the document. This is the only one I can think of out of my head, I will explore other possibilities.
