How alfresco handle cache service

hi we are looking to go and implement alfresco.I have few information need which i cant find in the other post.

1.Does it support db2 ?
2.How it handle concurrent user to view the document.does it have cache service inbuilt
3.What are other performance issue when pulling large document from directory service.


please let me know if u have some details

The Enterprise version may.   You need to contact Alfresco support w.r.t DB2 support.   Certainly there are instances of Alfresco running on DB2.

Yes there's a cache service built in.
3.What are other performance issue when pulling large document from directory service.
Alfresco has very little overhead when pulling a large document.   The limit is your bandwidth.

Thanks for your reply.But still i have some more questions.

If Alfresco has inbuild Cache,then my  J2ee application layer need not worry about the Cache Service right.

It depends on your application and your data whether external caching makes sense.  

However most applications will just leave it up to Alfresco to manage.
