Can I configure HA? Is it possible for me to install database server, application server, index server and web tier on separate nodes? For database server, if I further replicate it to several nodes, can I immediately switch over to the replicated database node when the primary one is down? Or any additional steps have to be done before the repository can resume service after connecting to the replicated node?

Hi nwywong,
Yes, You can do HA (High Availability)configuration in alfresco.
You can install application server, index server (only solr) and database server on separate nodes.
I am not sure about any out of the box feature by which we can switch over the replicated database server.
Please refer the link

It may help to you.
Thanks,
