Guest Access in Alfresco Share?

Hello there,

I'm looking at using alfresco share as a corporate intranet, but I would like a specific site to load without prompting for authentication. Is it possible to use guest access for the share side without authentication? That would be fantastic!

Thanks
DJ

Login without authentication is an enhancement request submitted to jira.  Take a look and vote for it - https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ALFCOM-3783?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpa...

Do we know the status of this request? Can we bypass username/password (authentication) step to access Alfresco Share?

No, it's more complicated that initially thought so hasn't been implemented yet.

Hi! Mike,

Has this been implemented.

Thank you.

I, too, am waiting on status.  I looked at the link above in JIRA and vote for it, but it doesn't say I have permissions to view it.  I tried searching for it, but too much comes up with "guest access".

I guess we should look at a different product for our global intranet.

No, this hasn't been implemented and to the best of my knowledge I don't believe that it is on our immediate road map for implementation.

Hi everybody, has there been some new development on the subject? I would also very much appreciate inicial site without authentication for our intranet.
Thank you for your answers.

Yes, my organization would also really like to see this implemented! In addition, there is apparently already a built-in Guest user, but it doesn't seem possible to activate it either - which is a shame.
