Force login using domain/machine account?

Greetings, everyone! We are setting up our internal office computing environment now, and are evaluating Alfresco as our documents management option. I wonder if there is anyway to bind Alfresco login information with the machine login information. In other words, when Tom logs in his PC, he can only log in Alfresco using Tom's Alfresco account on this PC; now if John comes over and tries to log in Alfresco using John's Alfresco account on this PC, it should not be allowed. We currently have Windows XP desktops with a Windows domain, but if needed, we can switch to Ubuntu desktops with a Samba domain. So, is this possible with Alfresco?

I don't think so.

But if you already have a way or restricting Tom to Tom's PC then you can use "external authentication" in alfresco.

Yes, in Windows 2008 domain configuration, I can bind an account to a specific machine, i.e. restrict Tom to only logon his own PC. So, if I configure external authentication in Alfresco, will that be the only authentication method to get into Alfresco? In other words, is the normal logout/login disabled under external authentication?
