Currently the dev snapshot is this link: http://swftools.org/swftools-2008-07-11-0008.tar.gz.  Is that the one I want?  I just finished installing and placing in path.

I am still getting the same errors.  I cannot locate transform installs for pdf2swf in the catalina.out file or the catalina.2008-07-23.log (I have stopped and started alfresco several times today).  Is there some other log to look at?

alfresco.log in install dir.  You may want to try with  making flash previews of some other files or other formats (html -> pdf -> swf)
I will try out pdf2swf on my fedora9 alfresco server when I get some time, have tried only on my windows machine.
I know alfresco is starting to use pdf2swf for alfresco 3.0  share/slingshot and its thumbnail service so how they configure things may be another pt of reference.

FlexSpaces 0.5 released:
1. Added tag cloud and category tree navigation to search tab view
2. Added Tag/Categories  dialog to view/edit  tags and categories on nodes
3. Added upload status dialog with multiple progress bars / file upload info
4. Added disabling/enabling main menu items based on user's permissions (context menu disabling needs more work)
5. Made single pane folders the default instead of dual panes (can use "dual panes" and "wcm dual panes" view menus to toggle back on dual panes)
6. Correct check for working copy now used vs. english only temp way

When will you be adding the 'edit/update existing file' feature?
Also, I get get a File I/O error if i try to overwrite a file.

Thanks,

Rohit,

I just finished the update existing and edit (checkout+download) features today. These will be in the next release (0.6). Also will have advanced search completed and include a thumbnail view mode in folder views in 0.6

Hi Steve,

Thanks for that really quick reply.
Looking forward to the next release.
It would be really helpful if you could have tooltips for the icons in the tool bar.

Thanks,
Rohit

Is anyone else having problems viewing PDFs in flexspacesAIR?  It opens a tabbed window, but the content of the tabbed window is black.  I can view other file formats, but those windows open behind the flexspaces window.  Any way to configure the opening to come to the front?

clburnett,

I assume this is with the view feature not the preview feature.
On what client platform (Mac, Windows, or Linux)? On linux, AIR doesn't have the display pdf feature yet.
One thing might be you need acrobat installed.

I will look into the "to front" issue. (With what formats?)

Also, it might be better to create topics in the forum for flexspaces in the forge so things can be more structured, since this topic in webscripts is getting kind of long:

Steve,

Thanks for the quick reply.  I will shift and detail this issue on the forge url you suggested (at http://forge.alfresco.com/forum/?group_id=149
).

But to summarize here, I have tested on windows XP, using both local and remote alfresco 2.9B and 3.0A instances.  HTML and TXT displays fine within flexspacesair tabbed area, PDF does not.  This behavior is the same on 3 different windows XP clients over either alfresco instance.

For mime types that open a separate browser window, I'm only seeing the windows open behind the flexspacesair window on one of the 3 test client XP PCs.

Thanks for a great piece of development.  It looks very encouraging and the our users are delighted in your work!
