error "cannot find Alfresco repository on this server" servidor web debian

Instalé Alfresco para una demostración en una computadora local (en windows y con postgreSQL) y no tuve ningún inconveniente, pudimos entrar, subir y gestionar documentos. Ahora lo instalé (por segunda vez) en un servidor web con Debian y en la pantalla de inicio aparece cannot find Alfresco repository on this server y al intentar loguearse con las credenciales indica: No se han reconocido sus datos de autenticación o puede que Alfresco Content Services no esté disponible en este momento.

El único cambio realizado es que para esta instalación utilicé mysql que también daba error en la conexión, pero encontré que era por el driver. He buscado información al respecto y no he podido dar con el inconveniente, en algunos casos siguiendo instrucciones de versiones antiguas y que no se adaptan a esta.

Encontré otro síntoma, pareciera que hay algún inconveniente con los permisos a las carpetas. Al ingresar a http://sitio:8080/manager/html o a http://sitio:8080/site-manager/html en ambas páginas aparece:

401 Unauthorized

If the text or jmx interfaces are accessed through a browser (e.g. for testing since these interfaces are intended for tools not humans) then the browser must be closed afterwards to terminate the session.

Toda la instalación se hizo con root por medio de SSH. En algunas respuestas encontré que se debía modificar el archivo tomcat-users.xml, pero no se qué usuario se debe agregar ¿el del sistema? ¿el admin?

¿Puedes limpiar el log y realizar un arranque?

Eso puede dar alguna pista de lo que está pasando.

Con mucho gusto. Olvidé mencionar que utilicé esta versión de Alfresco para la instalación alfresco-community-installer-201707-linux-x64.bin.

Los logs incluyen un reinicio, un intento de acceso a las páginas y el log de SOLR.

Asegúrate de que no hay ningún proceso Java corriendo en la máquina o de que no hay otra aplicación utilizando el puerto 8080.

Muchas gracias Angel. Continué investigando y efectivamente un proceso de tomcat se levantaba dos veces, la causa: utilizar Alfresco como un servicio de linux y arrancarlo desde ahí. Los inicios los hacía indistintamente con service alfresco start/stop/status o con /opt/alfresco/alfresco.sh start/stop/status y el Tomcat recibía doble instrucción; me quedé con la opción nativa alfresco.sh. También cambié el puerto a 8081.

Entre los avances, comento que el letrero de no disponibilidad (cannot find Alfresco repository on this server) ya desapareció y aparentemente todo funcionaba bien, pero al ingresar a sitio:8080/share sigo sin poder hacer login y sin acceso (por permiso) al manager . Vuelvo a colocar los logs que siguen indicando algunos errores.
