Hi There,

I didn't seem to find anything here about this kind of error.. and what I can do to get around it… it doesn't seem serious…

I have Alfresco 2.0 and I have moved the instalaion from one computer to another, the only real dfference being in Operating Systems (Windows Xp to Windows Vista). Everything went well with the move - but after using and modifiying some of the data  I have gotten these errors:

Mar 21, 2008 3:09:58 AM org.apache.catalina.startup.Catalina start
INFO: Server startup in 46468 ms
04:33:03,300 ERROR [lucene.index.IndexInfo] Index is missing ea2bacb8-e992-11dc-

04:33:03,300 ERROR [lucene.index.IndexInfo] Index is missing da09a803-efbf-11dc-

I did not specifically do anything to re-index data - is there a part of this process that i missed?

Thanks in advance,
Kevin

It would be worth forcing a full reindex the next time Alfresco starts up.  This is done by setting:

index.recovery.mode=FULL
in ${TOMCAT_HOME}/shared/classes/alfresco/extension/custom-repository.properties

Note that after forcing a full reindex, it's a good idea to comment out or remove this setting as soon as Alfresco finishes starting - leaving it in place will force a full reindex every time Alfresco starts (which can take a while if you have a lot of content).

Cheers,
Peter

Hi

Did you copy the indexes with Alfresco running?
This is not supported.

The index is missing some files - you have no option but to find them or rebuild.
