Encrypted IMAP

Is there support for encryption when using the Alfresco IMAP server? I can't find any documentation or settings for it.

No, I don't think so.

However it does not look too hard to implement IMAP over SSL so the community could investigate, possibly it may be a simple configuration change.   

Please raise an enhancement request in JIRA and vote for it if you think its important.

Thanks for the prompt reply. It looks like we could use stunnel to achieve this. I was just a little surprised I could find no mention of anyone wanting to do the same thing!

On a side note, is there any way to encrypt the CIFS connection except using a VPN?

Out of curiosity, did you managed to get IMAP working over SSL with stunnel?

ALF-4182 is marked as a duplicate and says "This issue has already been added to JIRA." Does anyone know which issue this is? Can an administrator create the link from ALF-4182 to the enhancement request?
