Email for a newbie

Hi, I'm new to using Alfresco and while I've had fairly good success I cannot get one item to work at this point and that is email.  When I attempt to send an invite to a site it claims that the email is successfully sent but the users never get anything.  We are on a private domain and use a front and back Exchange server.  I believe that I have to somehow point Alfresco to our relay on our Exchange server but don't know where, or exactly how this is done in Alfresco.

I have searched the formes and have found several topics on the subject but most of the resolutons assume that the user knows more than I do.  Any help would be much appreciated.

Currently running version 3.2 on a Server 2003 machine.

Thanks,

This is a little out of date for 3.2 but gives more information about configuring email.  You should set the properties in alfresco's global properties rather than repository.properties.

I followed the direction in the link you game me and made the changes to the global properties.  However this did not get e-mail working for.  When I send an invit to join a group I recieve a message that says sending the email was successful but as far as I can tell no mail every gets relayed through my exchange server.

Any other "how to" available for setting up e-mail?

Thanks for any help.
