Edit metadata share

When somebody is editing a document (edit online) in share, share checkout and checkin the document.

But if a user wanna edit metadata fields, share doesnt checkout the document, then another user can edit the metadata fields at the same time and this is my problem.

Anyone can help me or guide me how can i manage this issue? I wanna checkout the document if somebody edit the document's metadata.

You can add logic to lock the document in Edit meta action javascript.

But if i made this i will modify alfresco base code and client doesn't wanna this.
