Drag and Drop option is not showing in document library. I am using Alfresco Community 4.0 in Windows Server 2008 r2

This problem is normally cause by using an old browser.

that should be it cause on my windows 7 computer, I can see the drag and drop feature.

The drag and drop feature in the Document Library is only supported on browsers that support HTML5 drag & drop.  If you're using Internet Explorer, it must be version 9 or 10.  Chrome and FireFox have supported the feature for quite a while now.

What version is your browser?

Drag & Drop does not work in IE8.  See this link: http://www.w3schools.com/html/html5_draganddrop.asp
