Hi,

I'm trying to evaluate Alfresco and I have a problem that will hopefully be simple for you guys who know the system…..

In the online presentations, Ian Howells particularly points out how the status of a document is set to "Drafts" when put into the drafts folder and is updated via content rules as it progresses through the doc lifecycle.

My eval copy of Alfresco enterprise does not include such a property.

Can anybody help me to add the property and define a list of allowed values?

Appreciated.

Many thanks for your help but unfortunately I'm still a bit stuck.

I can see from the wiki how to construct an xml file but I am confused because the folder containing all the xml files (/tomcat\shared\classes\alfresco\extension) already has one containing a constraint called wfl:status and a set of values (see "lifecyclemodel.xml" - I stumbled across this).  So why is this constraint not visible for the docs in my repository?

I don't understand how/when each xml file gets applied.

Thanks

There should also be a file called "lifecycle-workflow-context.xml.sample", this needs to be renamed as "lifecycle-workflow-context.xml", this should then get read at startup.

Basically, any file ending with .sample is ignored.
