Document Preview incomplete

At my institution we are using Alfresco v3.4.7, and it´s working well. However, the doc preview is not shown completely, so that most of the uploaded docs have to be downloaded for reading. Is there any hint or explanation you might have?
Thanks,
K. Morales

Which type of documents are not shown?

The logfiles will probably tell what the problem is. (ie openoffice, etc). Could you post the output of the log for the preview request? (alfresco.log)

Erik, I am trying to get the logfiles. My preview problem has to do with word docs, pdfs work fine. The preview does not show the whole doc, some squares are cut out at the margins, ie the corners (bottom left, upper right) of the doc.
Unfortunately, I am not able to attach a screenshot to this post, but do hope you can understand what I mean?
thanks a lot

The previews for word docs are rendered by the openoffice component. The fact that the previews are shown indicates that the connection works. I would file an issue with Alfresco Support (since you seem to be using the Enterprise version). It could be related to which version of word those documents were created by.

I'm facing this same problem, but in alfresco cummunity 4.0d, and it's happening also with pdf files, which makes me believe that the problem has to be with the preview component, and not with transformation.

unfortunately no.

We decided to disable the default previewer and we are testing the Daeja ViewOne previewer.
It's working really well.

I also have a problem with previewing pdf files, as this one.

I run Alfresco 4.0.d in an Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Box.
