Hello

I read in "XML Content Authoring" secction of wiki (http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/New_Web_Content_Management_Plan#Summary_of_Enhancements) that Alfresco ability for content publishers to create and modify structured assets (XML) using a web browser.

It is very interesting for me, and i have read in "Defining Content Types" secction of wiki (http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Content_Creation#Defining_Content_Types) that it is possible through a wizard will assist developers in registering new content types with Alfresco.

I have installed Alfresco 1.4 preview, and this is my question:

It`s possible definine new content types using a web browser in Alfresco 1.4 preview? It this is possible, How to i can make it?
If this is not possible, What Alfresco version implements this feature?

Thanks!!!! 🙂

Excellent question.

Our intent is to use our XForms integration to provide a default form that allows a Web Developer to create an XSD via a browser-based forms without having to first create the XSD offline and then upload in our GUI.  If you do create offline and upload in our GUI (which is what is required today with our preview release), once uploaded, we want to enable you to use this same form to modify the XSD on an ongoing basis.

This unfortunately will not be included in our Dec GA release, but we hope to tackle post our GA release to simplify CMS config for developers.
