Customize user creation.

I would want to create a pre-defined folder structure in user's home space when the user is created.
Would appreciate if someone can tell me how it can be achieved.

You'll need to create you own custom homespace provider and enable it. More information on how to do it is available at http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Security_and_Authentication#Creating_home_spaces_-_from_1.4_onwards.
