Content Manager unable to invite users

Hi,

My understanding of the content manager role in WCM, is that they should be able to invite other users to the web project. However, if I create a web project (as admin), and invite another user as a content manager, then they do not appear to be able to invite other users.

If I login as the content manager, and try to invite a user to the web project (using the "Invite Web Project Users" wizard), then I get the following error:

A system error happened during the operation: Access Denied. You do not have the appropriate permissions to perform this operation.

This is on Alfresco 2.2. Is there anything else that needs to be done to allow content managers to invite users, or should this just work?

absolutely the same problem with labs 3.0b. Have you managed to fix this issue? I've seen some JIRA's on this, but as I see, they are unresolved!

I've retested it on Labs 3.0c, still the same behavior, but the error message is different: "A system error happened during the operation: Only content managers may invite web user". I presume it's because InviteWebsiteUsers bean checks permissions for current user and sees that he's not a content manager of this project, but how can he be CM if the project is currently being created?
