We're testing Alfresco 3.4(b) on one of our servers, we currently have two hard drives (C:\ & D:\). Our D:\ drive contains quite a lot of data and we would like to start managing that with Alfresco, so we would like all our data on D:\ to be accessible through Alfresco WebDav. Any ideas? I've tried copying the data from our hard drive to the Alfresco mapped ftp on the server, but got file size errors and what have you not. The total size of the D:\ drive is about 3TB, but for some reason when mapping the webdav to My Computer on a client PC, it shows Total size: 51.0GB with 27GB free space. Surely there must be some way to make Alfresco run on current drives/data?
Which posts FTP as a solution, but like I said, some of the files are even 6gb+ in size and it seems like the FTP server is having a hard time migrating those files.
Yea, maybe I should've put my question down better. The problem is not uploading through the FTP, it's retrieving them from client computers through WebDav. I can't even retrieve a 340mb file through WebDav, getting the error "The file size exceeds the limit allowed and cannot be saved."
Resolved: It's a Windows WebDav issue, a simple registry key edit on the client computer did the trick, for those interested: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/900900
