Hello Friends,

We are using alfresco as DMS via CMIS interface in a multiuser web application having its own user store and database.

This web application logs in alfresco (using a specific alfresco user id) and carries out all DMS (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations on behalf of end users of this web application.

Does alfresco strore in kind of unique reference number for all its create, update and delete transactions (with ot without CMIS)? The objective is to link the Create/Update/Delete i.e. data manipulation transaction to its parent transaction in the web application. I want to store this unique reference in web app's database. This is required for audit the tracability of transactions in the web applications.

I am also open to alternative suggestions if somebody has already solved this problem in better or feasible way.

Cheers,
Ashutosh

Maybe you could turn on the auditing sub-system and then use the identifier from the corresponding audit record to tie back with your web application.
