Hello,

Server Configuration:
Windows Server 2003 R2, EE
Workgroup: WORKGROUP

Alfresco Version: 3.4

I'm having a problem with enabling and using Alfresco CIFS. After the installation of the application, I rebooted and was able to browse the site. However, when I ran a nbtstat -n, I don't have the <ServerName>A entry at all. using \\<ServerName>, I get all the standard shares I had with the server before Alfresco. I then proceeded to apply the disabling of the SMB port using the following:
1. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NetBT\Parameters] "SMBDeviceEnabled"=dword:00000000
2. uncheck File and Print Sharing

That pretty much disabled all my shares.

Now when I select \\<ServerName> or \\<ServerName>A I get the "No Network provider accepted the given network path."

I then proceeded to follow the instructions on this site: http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/CIFS_Windows.

Unfortunately I haven't gotten far.

Has anyone been able to implement CIFS on Windows 2003 R2, on Alfresco 3.4?

thanks

Have you tried using the ip ? and check your alfresco-global.properties file
to find whether CIFS is enabled…

I'm having exactly the same issue, also with 3.4a on W2K3.  Did you resolve this?  Or has anyone?
Thanks.

Forget 3.4a.  It all "just works" on 3.4b.
cheers,
